Some doors have opened

We walk our deserts; do heaven & hell

‘Permission slips’ held in hand

To find that true love’s unconditional

& true respect is never earned

We brood over its bittersweet kiss

We wonder, don’t you agree?

Why sometimes family will miss

What in us, strangers see

But some doors have opened

And thus they shall remain

Coz some doors once opened

Can never be closed again

We align our lives to stars, some dead & gone

Then thirst like the deserts that wait too long

Where prophets too, lost to their hometowns

Risk their journeys for it's prodigal sons

But some doors have opened

And thus they shall remain

Coz some doors once opened

Can never be closed again
