I'm fine

Gotta stop smoking

Gotta cut down on the wine

Got my books and my music

Don't worry, I'm fine

And then he told me a story

This brother of mine

And in a silence that turned heavy

A thought bridged our minds

We build out homes brick by brick

Seeking permanence in impermanent worlds

Finished, we reflect and then the irony hits

That all we're left with, are so many walls

Our eyes sought solace in the darkness of that night

Some truths reveal themselves in the blackest light

Like long lost friends, to whom we entrust our hearts

Until we feel strong enough to take what's ours back

Gotta stop smoking

Gotta cut down on the wine

Got my books and my music

When love finds me again... I'll be fine
